We did a very short hop down the C+D Canal to Chesapeake City for Mother's Day weekend! Dan and Ramsay took the helm early of Bruadar early Saturday morning to get a spot in the very small and often crowded anchorage. Ebeth, Stella and Grayson along with Grandma and Grandpa Sellers met Dan and Ramsay later in the afternoon. Dan made 2 trips in Muc Mara rowing everyone aboard for the Saturday night BBQ on Bruadar!
Since we had the Grandparents onboard this was the catalyst for us to get the forward bunk beds into shape. Dan rigged the lee clothes and Ebeth scrubbed the washed down all the woodwork. Stella and Ramsay were so excited to finally have their own cabin!
We awoke on Mother's Day to open gifts and pamper the mums onboard. Dan made another two trips in Muc Mara rowing everyone into the Chesapeake Inn for a wonderful brunch! The brunch was a great hit with everyone even Stella and Ramsay who can be a little picky...according to Stella the desert table made up for the Mahi Mahi on the buffet.
After our brunch we invited the Zohlman's to join us for a short cruise up the canal to our berth. Everone had a blast and to top it off Grandma brought a 'butter cake' for everyone to enjoy! After rowing make 4 trips to Bruadar in Muc Mara, Dan was ready for some cake!
